The developers of the Dash altcoin released a network update v0.14.0.3 almost immediately after a vulnerability was discovered in its work.
The blog of the developer company says that last Wednesday on the blockchain an error was discovered that could be caused either by stress testing of the platform, or by a hacker attack. This vulnerability could provoke failures in transaction processing or even lead to the cessation of operation of some nodes of the blockchain.
Update v0.14.0.3 is designed to eliminate this vulnerability and restore the full functioning of the network. In addition, it will allow you to integrate additional options into the work of the blockchain. In particular, the efficiency of using the database space will be increased and the risks of failures in processing operations will be eliminated.
In the message of the developers:
🗣 The update is highly recommended for all nodes of the network, as well as for all users, operators of full nodes, exchanges and partners.
Note that the CEO of the Dash Foundation altcoin developer Ryan Taylor recently said that the Dash network, after integrating the Chainlocks protocol, has become virtually invulnerable to 51% attack.
