American congressman-native of Somalia, Ilkhan Omar, said that US President Donald Trump violates human rights, and therefore the parliament should initiate an impeachment procedure. The corresponding statement was posted on Mother Jones magazine Twitter.
“The president is violating fundamental human rights,” said Omar. She added that the current presidential administration is “the most corrupt” in history. In addition, the Congress has accused Trump of justifying the “white neo-Nazis.” She was supported by other women of the Congress, in particular, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes and Rashida Tlaib.

Ilkhan Omar left Somalia as a child. She spent four years in the Kenyan refugee camp, after which she moved to the United States. In November 2016, she won the election in one of the Minnesota constituencies, gaining 80 percent of the vote, and became the first American legislator of Somali origin.
