Apple is developing a folding iPad tablet with a flexible display and support for fifth-generation networks. The novelty is not in development for the first year, so Apple may release a large-scale updated iPad in 2020. This was reported by the analytical company IHS Markit, citing its own trusted sources. Insiders did not disclose details about the characteristics and design of the folding Apple tablet. They only clarified that the new generation iPad will support 5G networks.
According to sources, the leak occurred in the production chain of Apple in China. The company has already contacted its partners to plan the production of components for the device.
IHS Markit analysts have repeatedly correctly predicted Apple’s plans. Earlier this year, they said the company will release a new 16-inch MacBook Pro with a display resolution of 3072 × 1920 pixels. This information was confirmed by the authoritative analyst Min-Chi Kuo, so the forecast is actually confirmed.
