The company MetaMask, which is developing a wallet for Ethereum and ERC-20 standard tokens, called the release date of the mobile application for iOS and Android. The startup promised to present a new product on July 22 of the current year.
The launch of the mobile application was announced on October 31, 2018 during the Ethereum Devcon conference. Metamask is currently available via extensions for Chrome and Firefox browsers.
The wallet has more than 500 thousand active users, 18 programmers are involved in its development. Metamask said that the mobile version will be much safer than desktop counterparts. To protect against phishing, as well as prevent password theft, the company plans to integrate with Trezor and Ledger hardware devices.
