Litecoin Foundation, a non-profit organization, has become an official partner of the TravelbyBit platform.
Litecoin cryptocurrency began to accept payments for more than a million hotels and airlines, the rating agency Weiss Ratings reported. This was made possible through the cooperation of the blockchain project with the TravelbyBit platform.
The partnership was commented by the head of the Litecoin Foundation and the creator of LTC cryptocurrency Charlie Lee. According to him, this cooperation demonstrates the huge benefits of the widespread use of payments in digital money.
“Litecoin holders can now book their entire journey using a cryptocurrency,” Lee explained.
Earlier TravelbyBit already used Litecoin in their services. For example, from January 2018, Altcoin can pay for purchases in restaurants and cafes of the airport in the Australian city of Brisbane. Initially, it was only reported to add Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dash.
In August last year, the Australian government allocated a grant of TravelbyBit in the amount of $ 8.3 million. Due to this, the country is developing tourism by creating new outlets that accept cryptocurrency for payment.
