Actor Rip Torn, who played the agent Zed in the movie “Men in Black”, died at the age of 89.
Thorne died July 9, surrounded by his family – actress Amy Wright and two daughters, the cause of death is not specified.
The actor was born February 6, 1931 in the state of Texas. His film debut was the role in Elia Kazan’s film The Dolly in 1956. In total, he starred in 180 films, but the most popular roles brought him in the films “Men in Black”, “Cross Creek”, “Murder of Children in Atlanta”, “Hope Chicago”, as well as his participation in the Larry Sanders Show.
The actor was nine times nominated for an Emmy, and in 1996 he won the prize for Best Supporting Actor in the comedy series “The Larry Sanders Show”. Thorne was also nominated for an Oscar in 1984.
